Ahmet Unver is the co-founder and managing partner of Justsnap GmbH. His enthusiasm about new challenges and international market development helped him become a serial entrepreneur and expert on new business development.

We were able to catch up with Ahmet ahead of #DMWF Europe to find out his thoughts on the digital marketing landscape, what us marketeers should be looking out for in the future and what he is most looking forward to seeing at #DMWF Europe on 25 – 26 November!

Hi Ahmet, thank you for taking the time to speak with us! We’re super excited to see you hosting your session in Amsterdam!

We’re going to jump straight in with a big question; What digital marketing trend has impacted your campaigns the most in 2019?

We know for a fact that the traditional marketing as we know it is rapidly converting into digital format. Yet, marketers of today should also keep in mind that offline trade is still 10x bigger than online in value terms. Considering this, our challenge for 2019 was to provide the brands with best-in-class digital solutions to overcome the complexity of running direct to consumer campaigns on offline retail channels.

Another big one, looking to the future of marketing; how do you feel digital marketing will change in the next 5/10 years?

Reading the digital trends show that “Personalization” will be the keyword for next level digital marketing. The developments in the Artificial Intelligence based martech area aim to digitally replicate the human decision-making process, hence creating personalized shopping experiences.

Tailored offers will be delivered through omni-channel touchpoints to potential shoppers and the chatbots will play an active role in the overall shopping process.

What is the BIG next thing for 2020 that marketers should be preparing for now?

“Data is the new oil” they say to emphasize the importance of data, oil of the digital era. I think by now we already have realized the importance and value of BIG data. Yet we are still developing our skills to manage and utilize it. Marketers should master new ways to better analyze data and tailor it for personalized marketing.

So, what can our community learn from you at your panel at DMWF Europe?

As the title of our presentation implies, our session will mainly concentrate on, how our solutions enable brands to use various marketing tools available for online shopping in the brick and mortar channels.

The audience will not only learn about the digital possibilities and the strategic benefits of digitally managing direct to consumer campaigns in the traditional offline trade, we hope they will also come up with creative ideas to incorporate these new tools in their marketing efforts.

Who else on our #DMWF Europe speaker line up are you looking forward to learning from?

I am personally looking forward to a specific panel on Digital Experience & eCommerce Strategy Track. The panel is called “Improve your Marketing ROI with Omni-channel CX Strategies” and I hope to benefit from the panelist discussions.

Finally, like a prize boxer, you are the undisputed heavyweight in your field. If you had a walk-in song, what would it be?

I’ve got a “GUT” feeling – Black Eyed Peas. I think this should be every entrepreneur’s walk-in song 😊
