As the lead of World Cancer Day at UICC, Janine is dedicated to raising awareness about cancer. Janine’s dedication to the social good is evident through her diverse roles across different sectors. Prior to her current role, Janine played a pivotal role in driving global CSR campaigns and communications projects at UEFA, Europe’s football governing body. She has served in the House of Representatives at the United States Congress, and humanitarian organizations such as Care International and the International Committee of the Red Cross.

 

She holds a BA in political science from the University of Maryland, College Park, United States, and an MA in International Affairs from the Graduate Institute in Geneva, Switzerland. She also completed a research semester at Seoul National University in Seoul, South Korea.

 

Janine’s commitment to social justice extends beyond her professional endeavors. She serves as the acting General Secretary of Auxilius, a Geneva-based NGO dedicated to providing legal support and advice to disadvantaged populations in the city. Furthermore, she actively engages in local politics and acts as a member of the municipal council in her residence village in Geneva.
