Started in consulting and having worked in sr management roles for a decade Hidde transferred to the online retail space in 2009. Since then he worked in various roles (CMO, CDO, CCO, director of buying and merchandising) within leading companies like bol.com, Naspers, Zoover and currently Bever / ASAdventure group. In his current role, he combines heading up the group digital activities with acting as CMDO within Bever, the leading outdoor omnichannel chain in the Netherlands. The combination makes it possible for him to pilot new grounds where it comes to omnichannel retailing and marketing. Content marketing plays a pivotal role in the mix as well as social media and loyalty marketing. The efforts have been rewarded by Google’s best European omnichannel retail 2018 award.
