Nandita Bose is the national retail correspondent for Reuters, focusing on how big companies like Walmart, Target, Home Depot are transforming themselves and dealing with the disruption from Amazon and the rise of e-commerce. She regularly appears on Reuters TV and has been a contributor on other broadcast venues like WTTW Chicago and Times Now in India. Before moving to New York, Nandita spent over three years covering retail and consumer goods for Reuters in Chicago where she consistently broke major retail stories.
Prior to that she spent six years in Asia with Reuters based out of India, where she covered retail, regulation and foreign investment in the country. Her work on Walmart and retail earned the “best companies coverage” recognition from Reuters in 2013. She was also frequently given regional assignments focusing on Southeast Asia and China and covered elections and industrial disasters in countries like Bangladesh. She covered the commodity markets throughout the 2008 financial crisis for the company.
Nandita is a native of Mumbai and holds a Master’s degree from Northwestern University’s school of communications. She speaks six languages, is an avid reader and enjoys traveling.
