Megan G Wells is a branded entertainment futurist, award-winning filmmaker, showrunner, and executive producer redefining how brands harness the power of culture and entertainment. She has built and scaled world-class studios, and partnered with major global brands, some of which include: Red Bull, Under Armour, Marvel, Formula 1, the NBA, Sony, Google, Rolex, Johnson & Johnson, LEGO, Dell, and the Olympic Games to deliver groundbreaking formats that reach audiences worldwide.
As a filmmaker and development executive, Wells has helmed dozens of multi-episodic series and documentaries and as a Chief Content Officer, has pioneered new models of development, distribution, and measurement that are reshaping how branded entertainment delivers value. She is co-founder of the Blended Entertainment™ approach and The Entertainment Stack™, proprietary methodology that re-imagines entertainment ecosystems and transforms entertainment into a growth engine for brands. She is also the co-founder of EVOKE™, a measurement framework that validates brand investment in entertainment through neuroscience and human emotion.
Previously, she was the Executive Producer and Head of Content House for Under Armour, where she built the Under Armour Originals brand and in-house Branded Content Studio, was an Executive Producer and Showrunner for Red Bull Media House, leading a world-wide team of producer, directors and creators supporting all of RBMH’s global broadcasts, was a Senior Producer/ Director for Turner Sports and instrumental in the launch of the NBAtv OTT and linear channels, as well as NBA Digital and NBA.com, and worked across a portfolio of additional Sports properties, developing award-winning brand and image campaigns, documentary and long-form content. She started her career as a Producer + Director in news and entertainment at CNN and TBS.
A frequent speaker and internationally recognized thought leader, Wells has appeared at SXSW, Sundance, TribecaX, AdWeek, and MIPCOM, where she explores the evolving relationship between storytelling, audience behavior, and brand participation in entertainment. Her work and commentary have been featured in Forbes, Business Insider, CampaignUS, Glamour UK, Cosmopolitan, Yahoo!, and Digital Spy, amongst others, and her work has been awarded, shortlisted and nominated at the Emmy Awards, the Sports Emmy Awards, the Cannes Corporate Media + TV Awards, Sundance Brand Storytelling Awards and New York Festivals World’s Best Awards.
