Sam DeMase is one of the most distinctive voices at the intersection of career development and the creator economy. As American Influencer Council (AIC) Chairwoman, Sam presides over the Board of Directors and provides thought leadership on creator small business education and advocacy.
A workforce futurist and self-advocacy expert, she holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from New York University. She has spent more than a decade translating workforce efficiency and people performance into tools and courses that people can use. In 2020, she launched Power Mood, a career and personal development platform that serves a social media community of over 850k followers. Since 2022, Sam has been building a full-time business that supports career-minded women with digital career tools sold globally.
Her community has collectively earned over $3 million in raises and counting. She is the author of two books published by Rock Point: Power Mood: Unlock Your Confidence, Transform Your Life & Command Your Value, an Honorable Mention at the 2023 Foreword INDIE Book Award and recommended by Forbes on their careers reading list, and The Power Mood Mindset Workbook: Achieve Your Career Goals with Intention and Confidence. Since February 2025 she has served as Career Expert for ZipRecruiter and is a member of the ZipRecruiter Economic Research Team. She is also a member of the Freelancers Union and the Copyright Alliance. Her expertise has been featured by Forbes, CNBC, Time.com, and Fortune.
